Chelmsford Women’s Aid offers accommodation and outreach support to women and children suffering domestic violence in the Chelmsford and Maldon areas. We are highly regarded locally for offering a professional yet sympathetic and client-led service and have excellent working relations with both voluntary and statutory agencies. We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer who will work with our Trustees to strategically plan and develop our services. Her responsibility will be to implement plans, work with other stakeholders and organisations to manage change, secure funding for future development of the service and provide overall leadership and management.

We are looking for a Receptionist/Recruitment Administrator to join our Central Services Team. You will be the first point of contact for our service users, visitors and telephone callers to our head office and will play a vital role in providing a professional and friendly reception service where your strong verbal and written communication skills will be invaluable.
You will contribute to the smooth running of the team and your administrative responsibilities will include support with the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff as well as providing general and routine admin support to the Team
To be successful in this role you will:
• Have substantial experience of creating administrative systems.
• Be flexible and able to use your own initiative when required.
• Possess good IT skills.
A basic understanding of the issues faced by vulnerable women would be an advantage.

SHEFFIELD WORKING WOMEN’S OPPORTUNITIES PROJECT (SWWOP)
We are a small voluntary sector project and registered charity, working with very vulnerable women who are involved in street sex work. We have a regular outreach service which provides harm reduction and advice to women on the streets, and the ‘REST’ service which supports women to exit street sex work.
Due to a successful funding bid for a new post to expand our service, we are wishing to recruit a female* Outreach Follow Up Support Worker to join our team. She will be someone who has experience of working with vulnerable women, understands the complexities of street sex work, and is committed to SWWOP’s ethos.
This is a part-time post of 20 hours per week at a remuneration of £24,882 pa pro rata plus 8% pension. The post is initially for 12 months, with a possible two year extension.

Independent Domestic Abuse Service (IDAS) specialises in providing support, emergency accommodation and advocacy services to people who are experiencing or escaping domestic abuse. We have the following vacancy:
Refuge Manager (full-time) – based in Harrogate.
Your role will be to manage a small staff team who provide emotional and practical support to women and children living in refuge accommodation. You will ensure that the refuge is managed in line with health and safety requirements, that staff are provided with good support and that women and children receive a high quality and fair service.
You will have experience of managing a similar project, thorough knowledge of the causes and effects of domestic abuse, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving WAFE national standards.

Responsible for managing the delivery of refuge services in the East Sussex area, you will ensure that a secure and supportive environment for women and children escaping domestic violence is provided.

You must also have knowledge of domestic violence issues and experience of working in either women’s refuge/residential setting. A recognised social work/housing/management qualification would be desirable.
As member of the management team the postholder, will be required to be on call at all times. Also you will be expected to provide direct out-of-hours cover as required – including during bank holidays.

BROKEN RAINBOW
Experienced Helpline staff (London, SE16)
Broken Rainbow UK runs the only National LGBT Domestic Violence Helpline providing confidential support to all members of the LGBT communities, their family & friends, and agencies supporting them.
We are recruiting experienced Helpline staff to provide support to callers on our helpline during specific hours. You will have telephone helpline experience, ideally within an LGBT and/or DV setting. Training will also be provided.
All staff will also be required to attend Broken Rainbow induction, training, and pass a formal evaluation. Support, and supervision will be provided. This post requires the applicants to positively identify as an LGBT person.
Currently we are looking to increase cover on:
Mondays & Thursdays 2pm to 5pm

You will also run four drop in sessions per week in health settings, offering women experiencing domestic violence emotional support and information about their options around domestic violence, and will act as a gateway into other support services for women through signposting and referrals.
This role requires that you possess the ability to remain calm when working with people in crisis, and experience of supporting marginalised and vulnerable women with a wide range of support needs.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the issues facing women affected by domestic violence, excellent advocacy skills and experience of facilitating groups.

We are looking for female Housing Support Workers to support women with complex needs who have experienced domestic violence and are living in our refuges and safe houses.

• Ideally have experience of working in the social/ health care/ supported housing fields and Ideally have experience of working in supported housing
